Universal Technical Institute is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT). The Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a nationally recognized accrediting agency.

UTI, NTI and MMI are vocational institutions and, with the exception of the UTI campus in Avondale, Arizona, do not offer degree programs or academic programs at the college level. Except in Avondale, where both Associates of Occupational Studies degree and diploma award level programs are offered, you will receive a diploma upon successful completion of the program. The credits earned at UTI, MMI and NTI are not college-level credit and do not automatically transfer to another school unless another school is willing to accept them from a transferring student.
